Alta Badia: Pedraces
The
village is at the foot of Sasso S. Croce", which turns red at sunset,
a phenomenon called Enrosadira.
The village is small, tranquil and suggestive, an ideal destination for
those who wish to spend their holiday in comfortable familiar environment,
tasting the local cuisine, genuine and tasty. Thanks to the landscape
beauty and the romantic atmosphere Pedraces is a favourite destination
both in winter and in summer.
The small church of S. Croce, destination of pilgrims from the 16th century,
is considered the outstanding feature of Pedraces and is often portrayed
in photographs and postcards.
